Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell was hospitalized after drinking too much at late-night party, his manager has now revealed.
The cricketer’s manager says that Glenn Maxwell is “embarrassed, saddened and apologetic” by what happened on Saturday.
According to the manager, Glenn Maxwell has returned to Melbourne and started training, he is not under investigation by Cricket Australia.
Glenn Maxwell was admitted to hospital in Adelaide on Friday night due to an overdose, with Chief Selector George Bailey and coach Andrew MacDonald informed of the situation by Maxwell.
The Australian cricketer was rested for the ODI series before the T20 series against the West Indies.
According to media reports, captain Pat Cummins has called for a review of Glenn Maxwell’s behavior over the incident, Cricket Australia’s medical staff have contacted Glenn Maxwell regarding the concussion.
