Beverley Knight is ready to hit the big screen after landing her first film role.
“I assure you, my portrayal will be a departure from the familiar character you associate with me, She said.
The queen of British soul revealed the plan during an interview on ‘Reasons to Be Happy’, but she was careful not to give too much away.
“In 2025, I look forward to making a comeback on the silver screen, as I have an upcoming film in progress,” she disclosed. “I can’t divulge any details at the moment.
“All I want to say is that in the movie I will definitely not be the character you know me as.
“I’m set to challenge expectations,” she asserts, emphasizing, “Singing is certainly not my usual role.”
“Last year, Knight made a comeback to the UK Top 40 with her most recent album, ‘The Fifth Chapter. She returned to pop music for the first time in a decade.
