Apple Vision Pro:
Apple’s Vision Pro virtual reality headset was officially launched in the United States on Friday.
Customers who had preordered the headset can now either receive it or pick it up from Apple Store locations.
To mark the release of the headset, Apple CEO Tim Cook made an appearance at the company’s flagship Fifth Avenue store in New York City on Friday morning.
During an interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer at the event, Cook discussed the Vision Pro’s high price tag, referring to it as “tomorrow’s technology today.”
The Initial price of the Vision Pro stands at $3,500.
Cook also mentioned that Apple offers a monthly financing plan, allowing customers to spread out their payments over time, making it more affordable for them.
He highlighted the headset’s innovative features, stating that it boasts an impressive 5,000 patents.
In terms of pricing, Cook expressed confidence that Apple had set the right level, taking into consideration the value that the Vision Pro offers to its users.
During Apple’s earnings call on Thursday, CEO Tim Cook highlighted the growing adoption of the Vision Pro as an enterprise product.
He mentioned several companies, such as Walmart, Nike, Vanguard, Stryker, Bloomberg, and SAP, that have already started utilizing and investing in the headset as a platform for both customers and workers.
Despite this enterprise focus, Cook emphasized that Apple can continue to cater to both consumers and businesses with the Vision Pro as one of its offerings.
He highlighted the versatility of the gadget, stating that it has a wide range of use cases.
Additionally, Cook mentioned that there are over 600 apps and games available on the headset, specifically designed to provide a spatial computing experience.
In terms of financial performance, Apple reported fiscal first-quarter results that surpassed revenue and earnings expectations.

While the wearables business, including the Vision Pro, exceeded expectations, it did experience an 11% decline in sales compared to the previous year.
Although the Vision Pro joins the Apple Watch and AirPods in the wearables category, analysts do not anticipate it to initially generate a significant amount of revenue.
