Spurs:
Play was momentarily interrupted in the San Antonio Spurs’ 113-112 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night when a bat swooped down onto the court shortly after Victor Wembanyama scored a 3-pointer two minutes into the game.
The San Antonio Spurs’ mascot, The Coyote, finally seized the bat with a net after several unsuccessful tries, bringing joy to Victor Wembanyama and his teammate Jeremy Sochan.

This wasn’t The Coyote’s first encounter with bats; he had successfully captured two before. In a memorable incident in November 2009, former Spurs star Manu Ginobili even swatted another bat with his bare hand.
Following the bat incident, Wembanyama showcased his skills by scoring nine points in the next two minutes. The French rookie concluded the game with an impressive performance, amassing 23 points and 10 rebounds.
